“Supporting the Fighters, Admiring the Survivors, Honoring the Taken, and never giving up HOPE.” (QuotesGram)
On November 1st 2016, I attended one of the most impressive events I have ever seen. This is my 2nd year at Eat to The Beat Toronto, and I am not just saying this because I won an iPad mini at the event, but, if it’s possible I loved it more than last year. LOL. Yes, ladies and gents, I bought a 20$ mystery bag and I got an iPad mini. It was a great night.
Eat to the Beat, is an event that has been around for 21 years. Toronto’s most imaginative culinary showcase by 60 female chefs takes place, to help support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. It is a night of food, music and wine. Cancer sucks, and to be able to come together on this great night to help raise awareness and funds for the cause, feels great.
So, my night started off great, as I mentioned earlier. I walked in and grabbed a mystery bag for 20$ and bippity boppity boo, I got an iPad mini. After that the evening became a blur. LOL. Not because I ate so much food or because I drank some fabulous white wine but because this is the first time, I EVER WON ANYTHING this big before! I have to say November started off great.
I cannot forget all the incredible food I had that night. From Pulled Pork steam buns to Macarons to Starbucks Canada, it was fabulous! Ok, I have to mention the meatballs. I was obsessed with them. Tara Lee from Bar Hop, I thank you for reminding me of my Italian roots. Your meatballs were amazing!!! Remember its 60 female chefs all together in one room, heaven on earth. It truly is one classy event. Roy Thompson Hall is transformed into a pink wonderland. I even got to take home some pink feather boas. LOL. I can’t wait to dance with those babies. Ha-ha.
So, go hungry, bring some money and bid on the silent auction. Make sure to buy a mystery bag and support Eat to the Beat Toronto. I am looking forward to next year already. I may need some more pink feather boas!
Until next time boys and girls remember to always just be yourself it will eventually one day pay off…..and now pictures from my night at the best event of 2016, EAT TO THE BEAT TORONTO!
